小野象平 Shohei Ono
1985年愛知県生まれ。高知県香美市にて作陶。父である陶芸家・小野哲平氏の下で、ものづくりの姿を見て育つ。独立した後は、自ら山で土を掘り、釉薬の原料も一から作るうつわ作りを実践。使う人の手に包まれた時に感じられるものを大切にしたうつわを作っている。しっかりとした手取りと、無理のないかたち。おおらかで素朴な美しさのなかに使う人を包む優しさが感じられる。
Born in Aichi in 1985. Ceramist based in Kami, Kochi. Raised watching his father, the potter Teppei Ono. After becoming independent, he began making pottery using clay that he dug from the mountains, and glazes that he makes from scratch. He makes pottery that take into consideration what the user will feel when they hold the object in hands.
