Born in 1955 in Iwate prefecture. Ceramist based in Amano, Wakayama prefecture. Began creating Hakuji after Yakishime and earthenware making. Visited the kiln sites of South Korea to learn pottery making. Creates ceramics that are deeply influenced by the vessels of the Joseon Dynasty of Korea. Her Hakuji vase pieces never ceases to charm and fascinate those who look at them with beauty and grace that expresses a feeling of motherhood.
