小野哲平 Teppei Ono
1958年愛媛県生まれ。高知県香美市にて作陶。常滑を経て高知の棚田の美しい山あいにて、使う人を励ます力強く頼りがいのある日々のうつわを作る。インドやアジアの国々への旅を原点に、素朴さ、あたたかさ、純朴な豊かさを心に蓄え作るうつわには、ごまかしのないおおらかな眼差しが感じられる。
Born in Ehime in 1958. Ceramist based in Kami-shi, Kochi. Following time spent as an apprentice in Tokoname, he relocated to the foothills of beautiful mountains in Kochi. He creates bold and reliable works for daily use which comfort the users.
The works are inspired by the simplicity, warmth and rustic richness he nurtured within himself during trips to various Asian countries.
