Born in Nara prefecture in 1948. Ceramist based in Amano, Wakayama prefecture. Creates utsuawa such as Nanban Yakishime using Kaiyu and Hakeme techniques with wood firing. He is well known for his broad approach, rugged strength and dynamism that reminds one of the origin of life that modern society has forgotten.
