石田 誠 Makoto Ishida
1965年愛媛県生まれ。松山市にて作陶。松山は砥部の磁器土でやわらかな表情のある紅毛手や、薪窯焼成による南蛮焼締など、焼きもの本来の原点を常に見つめる素朴で包容力のあるうつわを作る。うつわは作り手本人を映すと言われるが、どの表現にも感じられるあたたかさが何より魅力のひとつとなっている。
Born in Ehime prefecture in 1965. Ceramist based in Matsuyama-shi, Ehime. He creates Komode ceramic ware with porcelain clay from Tobe and Nanban Yakishime wares using the wood fired kiln. His utsuwa pieces are simple yet capacious, always looking to the original roots of ceramic making. They say that utsuwa pieces reflect the inner-self of the creator. All his pieces have an undeniable charm that exudes warmth.
