Born in Ehime prefecture in 1965. Ceramist based in Matsuyama-shi, Ehime. He creates Komode ceramic ware with porcelain clay from Tobe and Nanban Yakishime wares using the wood fired kiln. His utsuwa pieces are simple yet capacious, always looking to the original roots of ceramic making. They say that utsuwa pieces reflect the inner-self of the creator. All his pieces have an undeniable charm that exudes warmth.
