Born in 1973 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Raised in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture. Graduated from the University of Tsukuba (Natural Science Division) in 1995. Re-enrolled in the Comparative Culture Division at the same university in 1995. While still a student, he met and studied under celadon artist Taku Ono. Graduated from the Comparative Culture Division in 1997. Completed the pottery wheel course at the Kasama Ceramic Training Center in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1998. Since then, he returned to Sano, built his own kiln, and has been creating pottery using only local clay and stones from Sano City. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in various regions such as Tochigi and Gunma Prefectures.
