四狭間かなた Kanata Sisama
1973年神奈川県生まれ。栃木県佐野市で育つ。1995年筑波大学（自然学類）修了。1995年同大学比較文化学類に再入学。在学中に青磁作家・小野卓氏に出会い師事。1997年比較文化学類修了。1998年茨城県笠間窯業指導所ロクロ科修了。以降、佐野に戻り築窯、佐野市内の土石のみを用いての作陶を続ける。栃木県、群馬県などの各地で個展やグループ展を多数開催。
Born in 1973 in Kanagawa Prefecture. Raised in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture. Graduated from the University of Tsukuba (Natural Science Division) in 1995. Re-enrolled in the Comparative Culture Division at the same university in 1995. While still a student, he met and studied under celadon artist Taku Ono. Graduated from the Comparative Culture Division in 1997. Completed the pottery wheel course at the Kasama Ceramic Training Center in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1998. Since then, he returned to Sano, built his own kiln, and has been creating pottery using only local clay and stones from Sano City. He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in various regions such as Tochigi and Gunma Prefectures.
