吉田直嗣 Naotsugu Yoshida
1976年静岡県生まれ。静岡県にて作陶。白磁作家・黒田泰蔵氏に師事。独立後は鉄釉の黒のうつわを作り、 美しいかたち、深い色合いで独自の世界を作り出した。近年取り組んでいる白磁のうつわは焼成方法、釉薬などの違いにより質感や色に表現の幅が生まれ、オリジナルの表現を広げている。それらは食材をのせて「はっとする」美しいうつわたちなのである。
Born in Shizuoka in 1976. Ceramist based in Shizuoka. Studied under the ceramist, Taizo Kuroda. After becoming an independent, mainly created black works characterized with beautiful form and deep shades. In recent years, white porcelain with its unique texture has attracted attention. The white porcelain with iron glaze is his original style which is a fusion of black and white.
